A wellness industry networking event was organized and key partners in the industry were invited for networking, discussions, and sharing key insights to plan for 2022. The Kenya Spa & Wellness Association Africa (SWAA) were the main organizers of the event held at the heritage Sarova Stanley hotel in Nairobi, Kenya.
Impex TransAfrica team represented the fitness industry in the region and led discussions by sharing global insights, fitness trends, and a variety of experiences, and new concepts that will shape the industry in the coming year. This was a good initiative to revive the industry and plan for 2022 as the country emerges from lockdowns, restricted movement, and a recovering economy.
SWAA’s mission is to make wellness accessible to all in Africa. It brings together government agencies, spa and wellness operators, educators and professionals, to set and maintain industry standards, encourage education and the sharing of information, provide invaluable networking opportunities and create a platform for members to channel their voice.
The wellbeing sector is predicting a much stronger than anticipated recovery and is likely to grow by around 6% in 2021 and 4.4% in 2022., according to the Global Wellness Institute.
